This regional blend comes from the region of Pocos de Caldas where the city of sits inside a ' Caldera' which is an extinct super volcano. Around the city situated on the slopes of the Caldera are many farms that range from 1000-1300 masl. The highest peak in the area is at 1686 named Serra de São Domingos. The rich soil and altitude of the region make it a perfect environment to produce specialty coffee.
This coffee is a blend of farms that has been curated to a profile by the team at Bourbon Specialty Coffees who have been working in Pocos de Caldas since 2000. They have been working with producers in this region since this time to slow advance the processing and to elevate the quality.
This special coffee is a mix of both natural (80%) and honey (20%) that Bourbon Specialty have found to create balance and harmony for the profile.
